Stephan Zouras, LLP is excited to announce the promotion of Anna M. Ceragioli to Partner.
Anna has been a member of the Stephan Zouras team since 2017, starting as a law clerk. As an attorney, Anna has successfully represented thousands of individuals in Illinois and across the country in litigation involving illegal pay practices and biometric privacy. Her representation has ranged from individual wrongful termination cases to classes of over 50,000 individuals fighting for tuition refunds.
Throughout her time at Stephan Zouras, Anna has made significant contributions not only the the firm, but to the practice of Plaintiff’s employment law generally. Anna secured a landmark ruling in the Northern District of Illinois that damages under the Illinois Minimum Wage Law, including treble damages, are calculated over and above liquidated damages under the Fair Labor Standards Act, dramatically sharpening the teeth of both laws. She also won a complete victory in one of the first in-person federal jury trials for unpaid wages since the onset of the COVID pandemic against a Fortune 500 company.
For three consecutive years, Anna has been named as a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers, a distinction given to no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in Illinois. She was a chair for the Young Lawyers Section of The Chicago Bar Association Moot Court Competition from 2019 to 2022.
A lifelong Chicagoan, Anna is a proud graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she was just one of 12 graduating students awarded the Chicago-Kent Bar & Gavel Society in 2018. She was president of the Chicago-Kent Moot Court Honor Society during the 2017-2018, when Chicago-Kent placed second in the entire country. Read more about Anna HERE.
