Stephan Zouras, LLC continues to expand its nationwide presence by welcoming Philip J. Gibbons, Jr. as of-counsel.  Phil manages our newest office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

A dedicated advocate for employee rights, Phil concentrates on employment law with an emphasis on helping employees recover unpaid wages including overtime. Phil began his legal career with a large national law firm, representing and counseling corporations and employers. Since 2001, Phil has exclusively represented employees. Phil is known for using creative but aggressive litigation strategies to successfully represent his clients.

Phil lives in Charlotte with his wife and youngest daughter. Phil’s oldest daughter is a graduate student at the University of Chicago and his son is a college student at Indiana University. His youngest daughter attends high school in Charlotte. In his spare time, you can find Phil wake surfing, mountain biking or four-wheeling in his Jeep.

Phil knows what it is like to be both a fighter and a survivor. In March 2010, Phil was diagnosed with Stage III Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer of the blood. Phil battled through multiple biopsies, surgery, and six months of chemotherapy. Today, the cancer is in remission and Phil is happy and grateful to be a cancer survivor. Phil is also an active supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which raises money to provide patient support services, research and advocacy for leukemia and lymphoma patients.
