Our firm, along with co-counsel Resnick, Nirenberg & Cash, P.C., represent current and former Auto Appraisers employed by The Travelers Companies, Inc., Travelers of New Jersey, Travelers Auto Insurance Company of New Jersey and/or First Trenton Indemnity Company (“Travelers”) who claim they were not paid for all time worked, including overtime compensation. Plaintiffs allege that pursuant to Defendants’ common scheme, they worked before the start of their scheduled shifts, during unpaid meal breaks, after the end of their scheduled shifts and on weekends manually accessing computers, software and internet applications and retrieving assignments without pay. According to the lawsuit, Plaintiffs claim Defendants violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and New Jersey Wage and Hour Laws. Plaintiffs are seeking to recover unpaid wages, liquidated damages and attorneys’ fees.
